How to Download Facebook Videos on iPhone

Saving photos from Facebook on iPhone is easy. You just need to tap and hold on a photo, then the Facebook app will show you the option to download it. Even on the mobile web version, you can choose to view full size and save images without any hassle.

However, when it comes to downloading Facebook videos, it’s not that simple. To help you save time and effort, I will show you what really works in this article, after trying numerous workarounds. Hopefully, you can download your favorite videos from Facebook and save it to your Camera Roll with ease.

Here are the best methods you can use right now. No need to use a computer or jailbreak your device. Let’s take a look.

 

Method 1: Use a third-party download manager

A third-party download manager app can be coupled with an online video downloader tool to help you save videos to your iPhone.

Basically, the online Facebook downloader tool is a website that makes a Facebook video downloadable from the link to it. And then the download manager app will take care of the rest saving videos and moving them to your Camera Roll.

MyMedia is a free and powerful download manager app for iPhone and iPad that allows you to download files to your device. Install it and follow the instructions below to learn how to save Facebook videos.

Step 1: Open the Facebook app on your iPhone or iPad. Find the video you want to download.

Step 2: Tap on the Share button underneath the video. Then select “Copy Link”. Now the link to the video has been saved to the device’s clipboard.

Step 3: Open the MyMedia app. In the web browser, go to http://pickvideo.net. When the website is loaded, tap on the “Enter the video link” box, then paste the copied link onto it. Finally, tap the blue Download button next to the box. The website will start generating download links for you.

Step 4: Scroll down, select your resolution of choice. Tap and hold on the Download link belongs to it., then select “Download the file”. You’ll be prompted to name the video file. Tap “Save” to start downloading it.

Step 5: Once the video has been downloaded, switch to the Media tab. Here you’ll find your video. Tap on it and choose “Save to Camera Roll”. You can also play the video within the app or open it in other apps as well.

Method 2: Use Facebook++

Facebook++ is a fully featured tweak that modifies numerous aspects of the official Facebook app. And one of the most vital features of this tweak is the ability to download videos with a single tap.

Facebook++ can be installed from multiple sources. In this post, I’ll show you how to install it from TweakBox.

Step 1: Open Safari or Chrome on your iOS device, go to http://tweakboxapp.com. Tap “Download App” to install TweakBox on your device. It’s a configuration profile, just follow the following instructions to install it. Once done, you’ll have the TweakBox icon on the home screen.

Step 2: Open TweakBox, select the Apps tab. Scroll down and select Tweaked Apps. There you can find Facebook++ and install the app.

Step 3: Open Facebook++, sign in and find the video you want to download. You’ll notice a new download button has been added in the bottom right corner of the video. Tap this button to download the video.

You can alternatively tap on the arrow in the top right of the post. A new “Download Video” option has been added there also.

Step 4: Choose the video quality you would like to download. Some videos are only available in SD. After you choose it, Facebook++ will download and import the video to the Camera Roll automatically.
